Magic Re-signs JJ Reddick

Matching Chicago’s $19 million offer, Orlando Magic was able to hang on to former Duke star JJ Redick for a contract of 3 more years. As Magic’s shooting guard, Redick had a tough time adjusting to the NBA style when he first began as a professional athlete. His “magic” as an NBA athlete improved enough, however, to have two teams putting up steep offers to have him on their roster. The $19 million decision to keep Redick brings Orlando Magic to one of the highest payrolls in the NBA. This decision also means that Orlando Magic tickets will continue to be among the top sellers this upcoming season. With loyal fans, a fantastic coach, and a deeply talented roster, the Orlando Magic are in for another great season that you’ll have to see (LIVE) to believe!

Orlando Magic Choose Wisely in the 2010 NBA Draft

Last night’s 2010 NBA Draft when surprisingly well for Orlando Magic with their #29 and #59 picks. The team brought in the University of Kentucky’s 6 foot 10 Center Daniel Orton as the second to last pick of the first round. Orton will be a nice addition for the Magic, as he is coming out of a great season coached by one of NCAA’s best basketball coaches, Coach John Callipari. His towering height, incredible athleticism, and and great experience from both high school (Bishop McGuinness High School in Oklahoma City) as well as college (Kentucky Wildcats) will add much needed depth to Orlando Magic in the upcoming season. Orlando’s second pick of the night went to former UConn Husky forward Stanley Robinson. At 6 foot 9 and 220 pounds, Robinson shined most in his 2008-2009 season at Connecticut when he averaged 14.8 minutes and 8.4 rebounds per game during the 2009 NCAA Tournament. The Huskies made it to the prized Final Four that year thanks in large part to Robinson. Orlando Magic tickets are sure to be hot items next year with these two fellas added to the already incredibly talented roster.
